Dream. You Never Know.

I had so much fun with Livi & the balloons.  Only after we did our session did I think of relating it to a storyline, so here it is.  I’m a big dreamer.  Always dreaming of something.  Not sure if it’s a Capricorn thing, a youngest child thing, or just an innate belief of mine that if you don’t dream (+ ACT on it) you will look back on your life & think “I wish I had…” instead of “I wish I did.”  Even if you fail at everything, at least you tried.  For the last year or so, my main business dream is to have a space.  A very simple space.  Four walls, white, light gray, a space to bring clients in, out of the elements.  Case in point: This weekend I had to cancel two sessions because of the snow.

My first two negotiations failed last week during my attempts at the perfect studio space.  One spot was deemed structurally unsound, & the other spot ended up being too expensive.  Either way, I will still dream of the perfect space.  I don’t want to be a studio Photographer… rather, have a nice charming simple Euro/modern space to hide in from the elements.  In time, whether it’s a month or a year from now, we’ll find it.  And you should keep working on realizing your dreams, too… maybe our dreams will be realized together!   (p.s. I can’t take credit for the poem, I didn’t write it.  And the two images where we clearly were not located… were copyright free.)

Fun, Modern Nursery Ideas…

I love these nurseries.  Clean, simple, seemingly timeless, easy to clean.  These ideas were taken from the NAPCP Blog… I loved them so I thought I would share!

Another Then & Now. I’m in Love!

I loved this baby’s face when I met him… & I fell even more in love with him this morning.  His older brother is super studly, too, but this little guy gave mom & dad a run for their money… a tough sleeper (can definitely relate)!  Now… things are grand.  And they couldn’t be more happy & beautiful.

Then & Now.

I love “Then & Now” posts.  I also love these sisters, & their mom- for trusting me to document her adorable girls, many times.  It’s also interesting to pull up archived photos to see my processing change/evolve.  I used to love the really bright/saturated colors.  I’m into a softer look right now.  We’ll see where 2012 takes us!  Meantime, enjoy sweet Olivia & Baby Sis, Charly!
